Street Fighter 6 Costumes Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con

Capcom revealed at their San Diego Comic-Con panel brand new and returning costumes. Street Fighter 6 Costumes for the cast and the return of the classic outfits for Ryu, Chun-Li, and Guile. The classic characters that are confirmed and revealed for the game will have their iconic appearances return in the newest entry in the series, Street Fighter 6.

Capcom Panel Announcements

At SDCC 2022, Capcom hosted a developer panel, where the reveal of the classic costumes was made. Accompanied by the panel was a playable demo at the event. Currently, there are no announcements for a beta test in the future. However, many recent fighting games provided beta tests, including Street Fighter V. Other exclusive events include a free promo poster & autograph from the director of Street Fighter 6, Takayuki Nakayama.

The classic costumes are returning from their initial debuts, in Street Fighter, and Street Fighter II: The World Warriors. Ryu will have his iconic white gi, Guile in his classic camo green tank top and camo pants, and Chun-Li in her blue qipao.

For Street Fighter 6, the returning cast of characters will have new looks and outfits, signifying the passage of time in the series storyline. Such as Ryu, getting rid of his white gi and wearing an outfit similar to the character Oro, who trains Ryu at the end of Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.

New costumes were also a part of the announcement for characters Luke and Jaime. The two newer characters’ alternative costumes will have streetwear-styled costumes. The streetwear is to fit in with the location of Metro City. The same location that originated from Capcoms’ Final Fight games. Metro City marks an important location for Street Fighter 6, more information will be provided regarding the stages to release at launch. However, for the single-player content, Metro City will seem to be the main location for the game.

Next Date for Announcements

EVO 2022, will likely be the next event where the next announcements for Street Fighter 6 will take place. Likely to take place after the Street Fighter V tournament on Aug. 7, Capcom will likely reveal one or a couple of new characters.

While there is a leak, featuring the roster planned for the release of Street Fighter 6, Capcom has subtly confirmed there is truthfulness to it. Characters that are equally as iconic as Ken are yet to have a public reveal. Every returning character will likely feature an alternate costume that brings their original designs back.
