Street Fighter 6 World Tour Opening Window Reveals 18-Strong Character Roster At Launch

There was another stream at Tokyo Game Show 2022 last night that revealed more Street Fighter 6 information. On the dedicated Street Fighter 6 stream, Capcom debuted the opening video for the World Tour mode, the single-player mode where you get to create your own fighter, hit the streets and get fighting.

The opening video shows the full cast of Street Fighter 6 characters to be available at launch, all 18 of them.

The launch roster of Steet Fighter 6 will consist of the following (bold indicates newly revealed/confirmed characters):
  • Luke
  • Jamie
  • Manon
  • Kimberly
  • Marisa
  • Lily
  • JP
  • Juri
  • Dee Jay
  • Cammy
  • Ryu
  • E. Honda
  • Blanka
  • Guile
  • Ken
  • Chun-Li
  • Zangief
  • Dhalsim

Looks like the bulk of the launch roster will feature fan-favourites that debuted in Street Fighter II and a bunch of newcomers to the series. Juri and Luke are the only ones that returned from a previous game that isn’t some version of SF II.

The characters for Street Fighter 6 were unfortunately leaked previously, and apparently not all the characters in that leak made it to the launch roster. This likely indicates that the characters that didn’t make the cut, and more, will be coming as DLC.

The opening movie itself is pretty dope, really capturing that street vibe the series wants to go back to ala Street Fighter III.

The full 1-hour stream has some interesting behind-the-scenes work, including the starting tutorial in World Tour mode for those curious to learn more of the upcoming fighting game. The stream is in Japanese but with a live English translation dub over it.
