Team Secret are ready to roll in the 2021-22 Dota Pro Circuit that is set to begin at the end of November, on the 29th.
After parting ways with zai and MATUMBAMAN, Team Secret swapped Nisha back to the carry role and welcomed the mid lane king into their ranks. Syed “SumaiL” Hassan is finally returning to the mid lane after playing for more than a year in the carry position.
“He is explosive, fearless, and a terrifying opponent. He is short-listed as one of the best NA players of all time, and the young prodigy has grown into one of the most legendary and famed core players in the world”, said Team Secret in their official announcement for SumaiL’s arrival at the team.
Since he departed from Evil Geniuses, in 2019, SumaiL has tried to make a smooth transition to the carry role, but the past year and a half hasn’t been exactly comfortable for him. He joined OG in early 2020, but due to the travel restrictions, he wasn’t able to come to Europe until this summer, when he rejoined the double TI champions OG and qualified with them for TI10.
His run with OG at TI10 was brought to an end rather early by those who would eventually go and take the spoils on the biggest Dota 2 stage, Team Spirit.
This will mark SumaiL first tenure under Clement “Puppey” Ivanov’s leadership and it will be his first proper attempt at dominating the European regional league.
