SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’ Info, Today’s Indie World Showcase, and More

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for May 11th, 2022. If I lived a few time zones over, this would probably be a jam-packed article due to the Indie World Showcase. Alas, when that presentation airs I will be at home tucked snugly into my bed, possibly wearing dinosaur jammies. So instead we’ve got a bit of news, no new releases that have popped up yet, and the usual lists of incoming and outgoing sales. We’ll catch up on other stuff tomorrow, but for now this is what we’ve got. Let’s head out!

Check Out the Latest Indie World Showcase Presentation

Wow, that was some presentation, eh? Really… really something. All those indie games. I don’t know which one I will buy first. And how about that one that shadow-dropped? Unexpected, to be sure. Okay yes, as I am writing this the Indie World Showcase is still in the future. As you read this, it is surely in the past. I’ll recap any major events tomorrow, but you can view the presentation yourself through the link above. I’m sure there was some cool stuff in there, because there literally always is.

Capcom Reveals More ‘Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’ Details

Yesterday, Capcom held a digital event dedicated to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the upcoming expansion to the latest game in the series. We were introduced to some of the new monsters that we’ll be fashioning hats from, and got given some additional information about Follower Quests and the new Switch Skill Swap ability. A spiffy new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Nintendo Switch Pro Controller was unveiled, and we got a nice new trailer to enjoy. The Pro Controller will be available on the same day that the Sunbreak expansion releases, June 30th.
