Soedesco will be publishing Indonesian-based developers Xelo Game’s next game, Petit Island. You play as Lily, the little cat seen in the trailer, as she goes around the open world of the namesake Petit Island to take photos.
It’s not just taking photos for the sake of it, or because of how cute everything is around the island. It’s to help Lily’s grandpaw (yes, spelt that way) who’s now aged with his memories beginning to fade. So Lily’s off to take pictures so ol’ grandpaw can remember his past, and maybe she too can find her own adventure.
Petit Island will also have you meet the island’s locals. Apparently, fishing is already confirmed based on the gameplay trailer. And you can customise Lily’s fashion too.
The game was among the 90 (90!) games featured in this year’s Wholesome Direct, which you may or may not have spotted during the show.
This is an interesting next title from the makers of a first-person platformer where you must escape from hell. But one we love to see.
You can wishlist Petit Island on Steam, so for now it’s targeting a PC release with other platform announcements coming soon.
