TFT Patch 12.18 Notes: Dragonmancer Nunu Nerfed, Vollibear and Shimmerscale Buffed

The adjustment-heavy update, TFT Patch 12.18 includes Nunu nerfs, heavy Shimmerscale buffs, and changes to Vollibear, Aurelion Sol and more.

Game Designer on the Rift, Lead Champion Designer Stephen ‘Mortdog’ Mortimer revealed the intended mage changes that failed to make it in the final patch due to a development glitch, resulting in a buff. The intended balance change was originally 75/110/145/180 percent ability power for the Mage trait comp. “Mage though ended up at 80/110/140/170, which isn’t what we wanted.” stated Mortdog. The Game designer also revealed that the TFT team isgoing to be keeping a “very close eye” as the patch goes out. “If it turns out to be a large issue, we’ll correct it ASAP.” assured Mortdog.

Secrets of the Shallows Event Delayed

Originally scheduled to launch along with Patch 12.18, the cosmetic driven in-game event is now postponed to a later date. Through a Twitter Post on the official TFT account, Riot Games announced their decision to delay the event due to undisclosed reasons. TFT’s Secret of the Shallows Event offered players the opportunity to complete 13 different missions, along with 150 Star Shards, 1 Silverwing Egg, and 1800 Pass XP!

The upcoming event gives TFT fans the opportunity to grab the super rare Chibi Dragonmancer Kai’Sa variant skin, which includes her own exclusive finisher. The rare variant can be grabbed by purchasing the Secret of the Shallows Egg available for 390 RP a piece. Chibi Dragonmancer Kai’Sa has a 2 percent drop rate, but the developers guarantee fans that the variant can be grabbed upon opening their 61st Secrets of Shallows egg.
