Being a female in a male-dominated industry has its wins but also its losses and all-female teams know this the most. With how new the esports industry is, it’s a shocker that the progressive nature of 2022 has not been applied. But in a world full of all-male teams, female teams are rising in popularity.

Think of your favourite esports teams… Fnatic, Excel, G2? One similarity between the main roster for all of these groups is the gender. Predominately male. But there are many companies now working to have a more inclusive spread of players.

G2 have set up its own all-female roster in order to promote inclusivity. They claim that gender is not an important aspect of their roster making. However, this team has been formed to participate in mixed leagues especially.
