The Best New Games for Android This Week – Arabilis: Super Harvest, Over Top and More

Saturday has barged to the front of the day queue, shouting about how it’s the most entertaining day of the week and all the other ones are terrible. Which means it’s time to round-up the best games that have come out for Android this week.

We’ve got puzzlers, platformers, arcade classics and more this week. There’s even a game about falling in love with an owl. We’re pretty sure that’s a first for our weekly round-ups.

Arabilis: Super Harvest

A charming puzzle game that sees you matching and harvesting a variety of different crops, protecting them from animals and the elements. It’s full of neat ideas, and there’s a relaxed mode if you want to avoid the dangers of veg growing.

Over Top ACA NeoGeo

A new entry into the ACA NeoGeo library. This one is a classic arcade racer that sees you pelting through cities, mountains and more. There’s drifting, different cars to unlock and plenty of screeching sound effects.

When the Past was Around

A bittersweet point-and-click adventure that sees you reliving a young woman’s romance with an anthropomorphic owl. There are puzzles to solve and a beautiful story that unfurls without words. It’s free to start with a single IAP to unlock the rest.

Mosaic Chronicles

A special jigsaw-style puzzler that sees you putting together stained glass windows to unravel an intriguing story. It’s got some neat ideas and it looks pretty darn gorgeous too. It’s free with an IAP to get rid of the ads.

Selma and the Wisp

A gloomy platformer that sees you following a bright light through a dark landscape. There are shades of the likes of Limbo here, but plenty of fresh and original ideas as well – like controlling two characters at the same time.
