The Best Party Games for Android – Spaceteam, Triple-Agent, Gogogo! and More

It’s the end of the year, which means there’s a chance you’re going to have to spend some time with people you don’t normally spend time with. If only there was some way to make that easier…

Oh, wait, there is. You could get a party game on your Android phone or tablet and use it break the ice. Or, at the very least, graze it slightly. We’ve tried to pick games that anyone can play, rather than something to keep your board game group happy.

You can click on the names of the games below to download them from the Play Store. And if you’ve got your own suggestions for awesome party games, let us know in the comments section.

Spaceteam

A frantic and often hilarious trip through space where players are in control of part of a dashboard of a spaceship. There’s lots of screaming of instructions, plenty of cursing and more than a hefty chunk of hilarity.

Tabletopia

Less of a game, more of a way of playing lots of games. Tabletopia lets you play different boardgames all from the comfort of your phone or tablet. It’s got a decent library, and it’s way better than having to clear up chits and dice.

Heads Up!

Apparently this one was invented by Ellen Degeneres. So, yeah, that’s something. It’s a twist on charades and plenty of other famous party games that involves holding your phone to your forehead and trying to guess what it says on it.

Dual!

An intriguing same-room multiplayer game where two players bat a ball between their devices. It adds some spice to simple games you’ve played before. Spice like pushing your opponent over.

Bounden

This one’s all about movement and dance, connecting players together through a smart phone. It’s weird and wonderful and will kick start your parties in some intriguing ways. Or make it creepy.

Triple Agent

Deduction games are all the rage nowadays, and this one is pretty darn good. It doesn’t take long to play, fitting plenty of back-stabbing and subterfuge in ten minutes.

Exploding Kittens

A brilliant and slightly crazed card game that involves, as you might be able to guess, exploding kittens. This mobile version of the app lets you play offline multiplayer, which is exactly what you’re after, right?

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

There’s a bomb, and you’ve got no idea how to make it stop exploding. The other players do, though, and they’re going to have to talk you through defusing it. But it’s a game, so no one’s actually going to die.

Gogogo!

A series of minuscule mini games designed to be played by 3-16 players. Different games test different skills, from balance to tapping, general knowledge to memory.

Wild Honesty

There’s a bit more depth to this one – it’s more of a conversation facilitator than a game, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had. It’s about fostering connections and we could all do with some of that right now.
