The Critically Acclaimed Inscryption Hits PS5, PS4 on 30th August

Inscryption will release for PS5 and PS4 on 30th August 2022, it’s been confirmed. A pre-order page for the PS5 version is already live on the PS Store, which confirms a launch price of £14.39/$17.99 thanks to a 10 per cent discount for PS Plus members. Publisher Devolver Digital has also said this is actually the release date after the Japanese PlayStation Blog touted the indie hit would release two weeks prior.

“Inscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie. Darker still are the secrets inscrybed upon the cards…,” says the PS Store listing. While the game begins as a deck builder, it’s said the cards in your hand only scratch the surface of what Inscryption is really about. Garnering a Metacritic rating of 85, there’s clearly something special to it.

Will you be taking Inscryption for a spin come the end of next month? For context, it’s out three days before The Last of Us: Part I and just after Saints Row and Soul Hackers 2. The next few months are finally starting to heat up for game releases. Start planning what you’ll play first in the comments below.
