The Gorgeous Upcoming Android Game Principles “Challenges the Limit of Smartphones”

Principles, an upcoming indie adventure game, looks set to push the boundries of Android gaming further with it’s amazing graphics. The game displays huge potential for mobile games, teasing the future of Android gaming.

Principles is an indie adventure game that follows a cave explorer. After falling through a crack in a rock, she is separated from her original trail, and you must now dive deep into uncharted territories.

Amazing Graphics, Amazing Sound

Just from the screenshots alone on Google Play, you can tell how much love the developer has put into the visuals of the game. The stills display impressive lighting and shadow dynamics, as well as high quality detail in the environment.

The developer, COLOPL Inc, describes the goal of the game to: “challenge the limit of smartphones”.

Not only are the visuals stunning, but the sound design is quite amazing, too. The game helps to keep you fully immersed inside the cave, as you hear the rustling of your clothes, the crunch of your footsteps, and the presence of running water nearby.

This is all thanks to COLOPL Inc’s 3D sound that, in the developer’s own words, “simulates reverberation and attenuation [to] give a sense of realism to the play”.

What Will You Need To Run It?

It’s all sunshine and rainbows seeing gameplay of Principles, but the big question is – will it run smoothly on your phone? Or will the game be full of performance issues?

A Reddit post showcased gameplay of the Principles demo, and the original poster, @Diamon-Dus280, was kind enough to share their specs.

The user revealed that the Snapdragon 8 generation 1 with 8GB of RAM was behind the performance. The user further stated that the game isn’t overly demanding with these specs, allowing them to bump up the graphics to max quality.

You can download the Principles demo now on Google Play.
