The new GT7 Daily Races are here (11th April)

A new set of Daily Race events have been launched into Gran Turismo 7’s Sport Mode multiplayer, with three new BoP races to take on in online motorsports.

As is usual, this trio of Daily Races will run all through the week with the established format that lets you set qualifying times and then use this to matchmake against similarly competent rivals. There’s also the relatively established form of the events, with a fixed car even for Race A – the GTO Twin Turbo ’91 around Fuji International Speedway – and then a short Gr. 4 race around Tokyo Expressway for Race B, and finally a longer event for Race C. This week, that sticks with Gr. 4 cars, sending you to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

All three are now Balance of Power (BoP) races, so tuning, weight and engine power are all automatically balanced by the game.

Here are the three Daily Races, which will cycle at regular intervals through each day.

Gran Turismo 7 GT7 Multiplayer

We also have the continuing races for the GT World Series Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup Test Season 2. Both are running through the weekend. Find the details of each race and event here:

Last week Polyphony Digital released a big update for Gran Turismo 7 to address some of the complaints about the game’s economy and how much grinding was needed in order to earn a reasonable amount of cash for the highly priced cars. Get all the details on version 1.11’s increased rewards, new endurance events and all the patch notes here.

In our Gran Turismo 7 review, I said:

“Gran Turismo 7 takes everything that was excellent about GT Sport’s fantastic multiplayer, high fidelity cars and circuits and innovative Scapes mode, and builds up a more traditional GT experience around it. It’s got its own quirky new ideas which will likely be passing diversions to most, but at its core, this is the Gran Turismo you know and love. Broad and accessible, but with depth, nuance and competitive racing for those keen to find it.”

Gran Turismo 7 is out now for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
