What happened with The Settlers? A reboot developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf was supposed to release earlier this year, but after the response of the previous closed beta, it was delayed indefinitely.

But now the city-building RTS has re-emerged now with a new title, The Settlers: New Allies, and a new release date.

The Settlers: New Allies will have a developer stream tonight (December 1, 11PM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT) on Ubisoft’s Twitch, where Creative Director Christian Hagedorn will be there to show the Skirmish Mode in action.

The new Settlers game is build using Ubisoft’s Snowdrop Engine, and will feature a singleplayer campaign as well as a Hardcode more (playable with co-op) and good old-fashioned Skirmish mode where it can be played solo VS AI, co-op VS AI, or PvP up to eight players with 12 maps available at launch.

The Settlers: New Allies will now release on February 17, 2023 for the PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.
