Vergeway Walkthrough Chapter 3

Okay. You finally up to Vergeway chapter 3. It’s kind of embarrassing, but we won’t talk about it. This article will at least give you everything that you need to know about how to finish chapter 3!

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 1

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 131 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Ballista Squad, Bullseye Tower, Cavalry Squad, Lizard Squad, Scarlet Bolt
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Fire Tower, Ballista Squad, Fireball

For the first few stages, I highly recommend opening the chests until you get Stone Towers. They have much more health than the previously available ones and can easily lead you to win in this and future chapters.

Place a Stone Tower in the front and four to five Fire Towers behind it. These will kill all non-siege units that come your way and sometimes kill the Ballistas from AoE.

Remove groups of Ballistas with a Fireball whenever you can to prevent them from destroying your Stone Tower.

When there are only a few Ballistas left, place one or two Stone Towers on the rightmost column, then deploy a few Ballista Squads to destroy the towers. Put another Stone Tower when your summoning region expands, if needed.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 2

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 15 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Ice Tower, Arrow Tower, Crossbow Squad, Lizard Squad, Hardrox
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Ballista Squad, Catapult Squad, Tally, Stella, Bugsy

If you have unlocked Chapter 3 cards, this stage can be relatively easy. If not, you can make some adjustments.

Place down your officers near your Stronghold and your siege squads. Deploy more siege squads when possible, to group them up.

Put a Stone Tower as close to the Hardrox as possible to tank. If you don’t have the Stone Tower yet, you can use any other tower, but it will get destroyed much quicker.

Replace the tower when needed, and deploy more siege units as you get enough Aether for them. When more space becomes available, put a new tower further in to push your advantage.

If you don’t have Catapult Squads, enough Ballista Squads should do well enough. Bugsy and Stella can be somewhat replaced with Axel and Tally, but you’ll probably need more siege squads to accommodate the change.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 3

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 4,600 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Fire Tower, Bow Squad, Hammer Squad, Ballista Squad, Hell Drider
  • Card selection: Stone Tower (or Arrow Tower), Crossbow Squad, Catapult Squad, Fireball, Axel, Tally, Stella (or Bugsy)

Place your chosen Tower in the center of the rightmost column to tank all enemies and towers. A Stone Tower will last longer, but the Arrow Tower can deal more damage to enemies.

Set your Catapult Squads (or Ballista Squads if you don’t yet have Catapults) on either side of the tower to start destroying the enemy towers. Deploy Tally and Stella or Bugsy, then start placing a few Crossbow Squads to help. Stella is better at removing units, while Bugsy makes short work of towers and the Stronghold.

Use Fireball whenever you see grouped-up Ballistas to remove them.

Each time you push into enemy territory, place a new tower further inside to tank shots. Place more units when necessary. Summon Axel when you see the enemy officer approach.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 4

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 13 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Fire Tower, Arrow Tower, Cannon Train, Sword Squad, Elementalist
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Bow Squad, Catapult Squad, Arrow Rain, Blizzard, Deadly Shot, Stella

Place a Stone Tower in the middle of the rightmost column to tank all tower shots. Deploy Catapult Squads below and above it to remove the first layer of towers.

Summon Stella and a Bow Squad or two to clear out melee enemies approaching. Alternatively, replace the Bow Squad with Fireball and use it to kill melee units.

When the enemy Elementalist appears, slow him with a Blizzard. The Cannon Train will appear shortly after. Hit them both with a Deadly Shot and an Arrow Rain to kill them.

Clear groups of enemies with skills whenever they’re available, and you have the Aether for it. Push into the enemy territory with more Stone Towers and Catapult Squads.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 5

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,000 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 23 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Arrow Tower, Hammer Squad, Sword Squad, Stone Tower, Bouldur
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Stone Tower, Catapult Squad, Tally, Billy, Stella, Bugsy

Start the same way as the previous stage. Place a Stone Tower to tank the closest towers, then deploy your Catapult Squad (at least one on top and the bottom) and your officers behind it.

Use Arrow Tower as a backup to the Stone Tower when it’s close to falling, but you’re near progressing deeper. Whenever your summoning region expands, use Stone Towers to tank the shots.

Place more Catapult Squads and re-deploy your officers when needed.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 6

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all enemies
  • 151 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Crossbow Squad, Stone Tower, Lizard Squad, Hammer Squad, Gladiator
  • Card selection: Bullseye Tower, Stone Tower, Fire Tower, Ballista Squad, Catapult Squad, Bugsy

This one is very straightforward.

Set up a Stone Tower in the middle of your summoning region, then place three Fire Towers and three Bullseye Towers in the column behind it. Replace the Stone Tower with another one when it gets destroyed.

After all enemy units have died, and only the towers are left, deploy your siege squads and Bugsy. They have a more extended range than the Stone Tower, so you won’t even need to place a tower to tank them if you put the squads a bit further away.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 7

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 4,800 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Bullseye Tower, Hammer Squad, Crossbow Tower, Fire Tower, Tracker
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Fire Tower, Catapult Squad, Deadly Shot, Bugsy

You need to make two quick strikes for this one, but you must be a bit patient.

Start by deploying Bugsy on the bottom part of your summoning region and a Catapult Squad at the top. Place an Arrow Tower next to the enemies to tank the shots for now.

Your units should destroy the first line of towers before the enemy units come close. Place another Arrow Tower on the bottom right portion of your newly expanded summoning region to have them destroy the next line of defense. If you’re lucky, the tower and Bugsy will buy enough time to destroy the line of three Bullseye Towers.

After that, you need to defend against the swarm of enemies. Place an Arrow Tower with two Fire Towers backing it up near your Stronghold. Use Deadly Shot to clear away larger groups. Replace the Arrow Tower when needed.

Wait until you get about 20 Aether. Then, make the same offensive move as the first time. Place more Arrow Towers as you advance into the enemy territory. Use another Catapult Squad when you’ve reached the enemy Stronghold to destroy it.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 8

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 5,200 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Bow Squad, Sword Squad, Black Crow, Stone Tower, Great Oak
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Ballista Squad, Crossbow Squad, Deadly Shot, Billy, Bugsy, Stella

For this one, you can use some targeting trickery to make it easier.

Start by deploying all your officers near the center of your summoning region, placing Bugsy further down, so she focuses the towers. Put two Ballista Squads, one at the top rows and one at the bottom, so they immediately start shooting down the towers.

When the first column of towers is destroyed, and your summoning region expands, place an Arrow Tower as far in the front as possible. Follow it up with two Ballista Squads positioned to immediately attack the enemy Stone Towers (one at either side).

While this is happening, the three officers should take their time destroying your first two Ballista Squads and moving towards the front ones. Deploy a few Crossbow Squads next to Billy and Stelly to help them kill the officers.

Use Deadly Shot on the Black Crow and nearby enemies when it starts attacking the tower. Replace the Arrow Tower to draw the remaining officers in and give your units more time.

Reinforce your ranged troops with another Crossbow Squad and place an Arrow Tower close to the enemy Stronghold. With most enemy units gone, place Ballista Squads to remove the rest slowly and re-deploy Bugsy to start attacking the Stronghold.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 9

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 5,400 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Sword Squad, Hammer Squad, Ballista Squad, Fire Tower, Gargantua
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Crossbow Squad, Fireball, Arrow Rain, Axel, Bugsy, Stella

This strategy will work best if you’ve managed to level up Bugsy a few times to boost her damage output and HP.

Start by placing an Arrow Tower in the front to tank Fire Tower shots. Deploy Bugsy near the top to have her destroy towers. Ideally, she destroys a tower in one hit.

Place more Arrow Towers as your summoning region expands to let Bugsy destroy all the towers.

When all the towers are gone, focus on enemy units. Deploy Axel in the front and cast Arrow Rain to clear out the grouped enemies. You can also use Fireball if there are too many of them around.

Place Stella, Billy, and Crossbow Squads behind Axel to kill enemy units slowly.

Re-deploy Bugsy when your troops reach the enemy Stronghold. Reinforce your units with more Crossbow Squads when you can, and that should be enough for an easy win.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 10

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 16 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Bow Squad, Lizard Squad, Ice Tower, Arrow Tower, Snow Beast
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Fire Tower, Catapult Squad, Bugsy

This strategy requires good timing to execute properly.

Start with an Arrow Tower and Bugsy, placing them in the frontmost column. Put a Fire Tower two columns back so it can attack the approaching enemies. Place another Arrow Tower and a Fire Tower next to the original ones.

Bugsy should destroy the first four towers before dying. Wait for her cooldown timer, then repeat the same strategy, only without the Fire Towers this time.

At this point, the enemy should have six towers left in the backline, and the units are swarming your two original Arrow Towers. Place another Arrow Tower or two to keep the enemies busy.

When you have 17 Aether, start the final attack. Place the Arrow Tower at the very front, Bugsy below it, and a Catapult Squad behind it. They should have enough firepower to destroy the towers before all the enemy units kill them.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 11

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 5,600 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Sword Squad, Crossbow Squad, Snow Beast, Ice Tower, Stella
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Fire Tower, Catapult Squad, Deadly Shot, Bugsy

This strategy is like the one for Stage 10.

Start with an Arrow Tower at the front and Bugsy nearby to destroy the towers. Place a Fire Tower two columns away from the Arrow Tower.

When Bugsy destroys a group of towers and your summoning region expands, place further Arrow Towers ahead to give her time to move to the next group. Repeat this process until Bugsy dies. Hopefully, you can destroy all but two towers this way.

Use Deadly Shot on a group of ranged enemies threatening your expansion.

Reinforce your initial Arrow Tower with another one and place two more Fire Tower, so they make a diamond shape with the previous ones.

Defend until the Snow Beast is dead and you have 17 Aether. Replace the defensive towers with new ones when needed.

With the Snow Beast dead, make your move. Place an Arrow Tower at the front to tank shots, Bugsy at one side, and a Catapult Squad to the other. Place another Catapult Squad or two when you have the Aether for it.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 12

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 143 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Fire Tower, Ballista Squad, Sword Squad, Lizard Squad, Bonehead
  • Card selection: Bullseye Tower, Fire Tower, Stone Tower, Sword Squad, Catapult Squad, Fireball, Axel, Bugsy

Start by using a strong defensive front. Use a single Stone Tower four columns away from the Stronghold. Place three Fire Towers and three Bullseye Towers in the second column from the Stronghold (this protects them from the officer’s AoE skill).

Use Fireball on clumped-up siege units. Replace the Stone Tower when needed.

When there are about 30 enemies left (depending on how many Ballistas are alive at the time), start attacking the enemy towers. Use a Stone Tower to tank the shots and Bugsy and a few Catapult Squads to destroy them.

The enemy will start attacking with the remaining units. Deploy Sword Squads and Axel to kill them, using Fireball liberally.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 13

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 5,800 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Arrow Tower, Ice Tower, Catapult Squad, Hammer Squad, Wraith Soldier
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Bullseye Tower, Fire Tower, Ballista Squad, Fireball, Bugsy, Stella

You need to start with a strong defense. Place a column of Bullseye Towers and Fire Towers next to your Stronghold and two Arrow Towers directly in front of them.

Wait for the enemy to exhaust most of their attacking forces. You can use Fireball to clear siege units out of the way, although the Fire Towers will occasionally remove them with their AoE attack.

When you’ve stored up 20 Aether, you can attack. Place down an Arrow Tower to tank some hits, then deploy Stella, Bugsy, and Ballista Squads.

Stella should clear the remaining Catapults that have gathered. You can also use Axel to help if you have the Aether for it.

Place more Arrow Towers along the way as your summoning region expands and previous towers fall. Deploy Ballista Squads whenever you have the Aether for them.

Since Ballistas don’t just rush over to the enemy Stronghold, they’ll also kill all Catapults and melee units coming their way slowly. This strategy allows you to accumulate Aether and, by extension, more Ballistas before you reach the Stronghold.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 14

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 15 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Bullseye Tower, Frozen Obelisk, Stone Tower, Sword Squad, Magus
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Stone Tower, Ballista Squad, Catapult Squad, Fireball, Deadly Shot, Bugsy, Stella

Start with a strong push on the initial Obelisk. Place a Stone Tower as close to the Obelisk as possible. Put an Arrow Tower next to it when the Obelisk finishes its first AoE attack.

Deploy Bugsy and a Catapult Squad below the Stone Tower to destroy the first group of towers. Place a Ballista Squad and Stella above it to help.

When the first group of towers clears, Ballistas should approach the next Obelisk and get immediately killed by its AoE attack. Place an Arrow Tower next to the Obelisk and deploy another Ballista Squad behind it.

Bugsy and the Catapult Squad should take the Obelisk down or close to it. Use another Ballista Squad to destroy it and the remaining tower in its group.

By now, the enemy officer and a bunch of melee units should group up. Place an Arrow Tower near them as a diversion, then blast them with a Fireball and a Deadly Shot, which should kill the officer.

Let Stella and the remaining Arrow Tower take care of the remaining melee units.

With a few more melee units left, repeat the same pushing strategy on the remaining towers when you have enough Aether.

Vergeway Chapter 3 Stage 15

  • Start with 40 Aether and 2,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 132 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Fire Tower, Catapult Squad, Hammer Squad, Wraith Soldier, Undead Ogre
  • Card selection: Arrow Tower, Bullseye Tower, Fire Tower, Stone Tower, Fireball, Arrow Rain, Bugsy

Place three Fire Towers and two Bullseye Towers in front of your Stronghold. Put a Stone Tower and an Arrow Tower two columns in front of them. Put another Fire Tower when you have the Aether for it, preferably in the second column but not next to any towers.

Use Fireball to destroy Siege units whenever possible. The enemy Ogre has a powerful AoE that will probably destroy your Stone and Arrow Tower, so prepare to replace them with Arrow Towers.

With no more units to send, deploy Bugsy to destroy the remaining towers. Try to put her in the bottom right corner, so she only gets hit by one tower at a time.

Chapter 3 Complete

This is the end of Chapter 3, and you get another Power Key for your (or should I say my) efforts. At least open chests whenever possible while you wait for the next walkthrough.
