Vergeway Walkthrough Chapter 6

Vergeway Walkthrough Chapter 6

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 1

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 16,500 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Magma Tower, Crossbow Tower, Sniper Squad, Fighter Squad, Lightweaver
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Missile

Stage 1 is relatively straightforward. Missile still eats away a decent chunk of the Stronghold’s health, so you can just use it whenever it’s off cooldown to win the game after a bit.

As far as defense is concerned, a leveled Stone Tower (or a Monolith Tower if you lucked into one) will be enough to survive most of the enemy units, and a second one afterward just seals the deal. Use a Magma Tower and a couple of Lightning Towers behind it to clear any approaching enemies.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 2

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 17,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Stone Tower, Stallion Squad, Hammer Squad, Bon Appeti, Dark Follower
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Lightning Tower, Crossbow Tower, Magma Tower, Starfall, Missile

This stage is similar to the previous one, but you need to be slightly quicker on the defense.

Start by placing all your available towers close to your Stronghold. This placement should give you enough time until the Bon Appetis arrive. Place a few more Lightning Towers to bolster your defenses.

Use Starfall to stun Bon Appetis and the Dark Follower, if needed, to help towers deal enough damage. Your Stone Tower will most likely get destroyed, so keep an eye out for your available Aether.

To destroy the enemy Stronghold, use Missile on it enough times.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 3

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 22 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Crossbow Squad, Hell Driver, Blazing Obelisk
  • Card selection: Magma Tower, Stone Tower, Lightning Tower, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Cyclone, Bugsy, Indigo

Surprisingly, this is one of the more difficult stages in Chapter 6, mainly due to the setup and annoying officers.

You can set up a decent defense with a Stone Tower, Magma Tower, and a Lightning Tower or two in the back.

Wait until the first Hell Driver approaches your towers to place an attacking force behind it. Use the Stone Tower to tank tower shots, then deploy Catapults and Indigo on one side and Trebuchets and Bugsy on the other (top and bottom, respectively).

You can use Cyclone to remove the Magma Towers and slow down your units’ deaths.

Your initial attacking force (alongside a few squad reinforcements) won’t survive the units coming your way. However, your defensive towers should kill them for much-needed Aether.

Use the same attacking strategy again to finish the remaining towers. This stage depends heavily on how leveled your cards are, and it might take some time and retries to beat.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 4

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 193 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Lightning Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Lizard Squad, Shield Squad, Shape Shifter
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Lightning Tower, Magma Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Arrow Rain, Cyclone

A Level 3 Monolith Tower is more durable than a Level 7 Stone Tower. If you managed to upgrade the Monolith to at least that level, use it over a Stone Tower for future defenses. The increased Aether cost is usually worth it.

Use a Monolith Tower on the second leftmost column, then fill the first column with two Magma Towers and Lightning Towers.

You can cast two Cyclones to remove the first five towers on the enemy’s side. Do this whenever you have the spare Aether.

Cast Arrow Rain on any larger group of siege units that are attacking your towers. When needed, replace the Monolith Tower, and wait until the enemy runs out of units to send your way.

With only five (or six, if you weren’t precise) towers remaining, place a Monolith Tower at the front to soak up the shots and a Trebuchet Squad (or Catapult Squad, whatever deals more damage at this point) to remove the remaining towers. You might need to wait for enough Aether to start this, so keep that in mind. A second siege squad should seal the deal.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 5

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 267 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Hardrox, Cavalry Squad, Hammer Squad, Vengeful Centaur, Bruiser
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Lava Spout, Bugsy, Indigo

This was one of the closest stages I’ve beaten in a while, and it might take a few tries to get the timing right.

Start by attacking. Place a Monolith at the front, with Indigo and one Trebuchet Squad on either side (top or bottom) to remove the first two Hardrox Towers.

Place two Magma Towers and two Lightning Towers in the back (next to your Stronghold) when available. Put a Monolith Tower in front of them to tank, and replace it when needed.

Wait until the enemy runs out of units at 1:15ish, then start another attack. This time, use all siege squads and officers immediately. Same as before, use Monolith Towers to tank the incoming damage. Place more units as needed.

The enemy will send out the final waves of units. Use Lava Spout on the Bruiser while it’s killing your units. This tactic will hopefully kill it just in time.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 6

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 19,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Ice Tower, Stallion Squad, Finman, Aquiris, Tidal Titan
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Catapult Squad, Trebuchet Squad, Cyclone, Missile, Bugsy

This stage is straightforward but requires a bit more time than the previous “Destroy Stronghold” stages.

You can set up a defense with one Monolith Tower at the second leftmost column (placing another one when needed) and two Magma Towers and two Lightning Towers behind it.

Use Cyclone to clear away the Ice Towers scattered across the field. Each Cyclone should hit a group for a total of five groups.

The enemy exhausts most of its forces by 1:20, so you can make your move then. Place a Monolith as close to the enemy Stronghold as possible, then follow up with your siege squads and Bugsy. Put down more Trebuchet Squads when available.

If you have enough time and Aether, you can use Missile to speed up destroying the enemy Stronghold.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 7

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 212 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Arrow Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Lizard Squad, Oakroot, Watcher
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Crossbow Tower, Bullseye Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Arrow Rain, Deadly Shot

You’ll need to put most of your defensive towers for this one, and it might get close a few times.

Place a Monolith Tower in the third leftmost row to tank hits. Place a Magma Tower and two to three Lightning Towers on the second leftmost column. Place Crossbow and Bullseye Towers, four in total, next to your Stronghold. Enemy officers will go straight towards your Stronghold, so you need to have towers in the third and fourth rows to get in the way.

Cast Deadly Shot and Arrow Rain when needed to get rid of any groups of siege units. Try to hit as many as possible, but minimize their odds of launching at the Monolith. Replace the Monolith Tower when needed.

Keep defending until only enemy towers remain on the map. When that happens, deploy Trebuchet Squads to remove them. They outrange the towers, so it should be pretty easy.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 8

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 20,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Magma Tower, Catapult Tower, Fighter Squad, Huey Hops, Blake
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Missile

Ideally, if the four cards I used are high enough level, this should be pretty much a breeze.

All you have to do is place the standard defense – one Monolith Tower, two Magma Towers, and two Lightning Towers. Add a Lightning Tower if you think you’ll need it. Replace the Monolith Tower when it falls.

Use Missile to destroy the enemy Stronghold. Depending on its level, it might take a while, but you should have enough Aether and time to complete this stage without any issues.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 9

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 20,500 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Lightning Tower, Bullseye Tower, Sniper Squad, Hammer Squad, Terrorthorn
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Monolith Tower, Lightning Tower, Crossbow Tower, Arrow Rain, Deadly Shot, Missile

This one also hinges on using Missile, but you’ll need to use it slightly differently at the start of this strategy.

Start blasting the enemy Stronghold with Missiles whenever possible. This is your only win condition, and it might take a while.

The Terrorthorn have a longer range than your towers, so you’ll need to lure them into your side of the field. To do that, place a Stone Tower in the bottom left corner. Wait until both Terrorthorns start attacking the tower and other units reach your Stronghold.

Now, you’ll need to be quick.

Place a Monolith Tower in front of the Terrothorns to soak up hits. Then, place Lightning Towers and Crossbow Towers behind it so they can reach the units attacking your Stronghold when possible. Two of each should provide enough firepower to kill all attacking units.

If needed, pick a skill that hits officers well (like Arrow Rain or Deadly Shot) to remove the soldiers attacking your Stronghold.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 10

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 18 Towers to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Crossbow Tower, Totempest, Lizard Squad, Hammer Squad, Grove Guardian
  • Card selection: Stone Tower, Lightning Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Cyclone

This one requires a good aim.

You can place a Stone Tower near your Stronghold and four Lightning Towers behind it to provide all the defense against approaching opponents. Replace the Stone Tower when needed. I’ve used Stone since it costs much less than a Monolith, and a high-level Stone has plenty of HP.

Use Cyclone to destroy most, if not all, of the towers. You can hit the four towers in the front with a Cyclone twice to destroy them with good aim.

Then, you’ll need to use four Cyclones to destroy each Totempest. Luckily, a Cyclone can overlap the first Totempest with each tower pair above and below it for a clean sweep. The top right Totempest and the four towers near it all get hit by a Cyclone, so you can use two to four Cyclones on it.

With good aim, you should be able to hit the tower on the now bottom left and the Totempest three columns behind it (even if it misses the towers next to the Totempest). Two Cyclones on that tower and the Totempest followed by another two on that Totempest, and the towers are enough for a full clear.

If any Totempests have health remaining, you can use Trebuchet Squads to finish them off.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 11

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 21,500 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Blazing Obelisk, Sword Squad, Stallion Squad, Sniper Squad, Magmaroid
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Crossbow Tower, Lightning Tower, Missile

This stage is very similar to Stage 8 in this Chapter. The enemy officer is melee, so there’s no need to worry about baiting it out and placing weird towers.

Use a Monolith Tower as the tank, backed by two Crossbow Towers and two Lightning Towers. Add another shooting tower when needed. Replace the Monolith when it gets destroyed.

Start pelting the enemy Stronghold with Missile as soon as possible. At 21,500 health, it’s going to take a while to destroy it with only Missiles. I used a total of 12 Level 6 Missiles (1,800 damage each). You need a Level 8 Missile to lower the number of them required by one, and a Level 5 Missile means you’ll need one more to do the trick.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 12

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy Stronghold
  • 22,000 Stronghold health to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Bullseye Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Shield Squad, Bow Squad, Hootclaw
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Lightning Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Deadly Shot, Cyclone, Missile, Axel, Bugsy

This one is somewhere between straightforward and challenging.

You can place one Monolith backed by five Lightning Towers in front of your Stronghold to defend. Use Deadly Shot on groups of siege units when the Hootclaw is attacking your towers. This tactic keeps your Monolith alive for longer.

Start using Cyclones on the enemy tower. Aim well, and you should clear most groups of towers quickly.

At 2:15, use Missile on the enemy Stronghold to bait out enemy units.

Remove all the towers with Cyclone and defend until 0:45. Then, place Axel, Bugsy, and Trebuchet Squads to start attacking the enemy Stronghold directly. Axel will tank the soldiers while Bugsy and Trebuchet Squads destroy the Stronghold.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 13

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 180 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Crossbow Tower, Shield Squad, Cannoneer Squad, Wraith Soldier, Bombin’ Goblin
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Deadly Shot, Cyclone

This one is fairly straightforward.

On the defensive front, you need one Monolith Tower (replacing it when it falls), three Lightning Towers, and three Magma Towers. You can experiment with a Lightning Tower instead of a Magma to clear officers a bit faster.

Use Cyclone to destroy the enemy towers. The top group of three is relatively easy to hit with a Cyclone. The bottom two are a bit trickier but try your best. If you suck at it, well, you’ll need more Cyclones. You should have enough time regardless. Alternatively, use Trebuchet Squads to finish them off.

Use Deadly Shot liberally to remove groups of sieging enemies. It doesn’t do much against enemy officers but can remove the Cannoneers.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 14

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Destroy all Towers
  • 1 Tower to destroy
  • Enemies encountered: Sword Squad, Crossbow Squad, Queen Bee, Saberfang, Bouldur
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Magma Tower, Lightning Tower, Hammer Squad, Lizard Squad, Axel, Bugsy, Indigo

For this one, there are essentially two parts.

The first part is defending against the enemy units. The initial waves are much harder to push through. Use a Monolith Tower, two Magma Towers, and two Lightning Towers as your defense. Replace the Monolith as needed.

At 1:45 left, the second part begins, and you can start attacking.

Deploy a Monolith four columns away from the enemy tower to draw out aggro. Place three Lightning Towers in the same column, so they hit all enemies and the tower. Meanwhile, Deploy Axel, Bugsy, Indigo, and then spam Lizard Squads and Hammer Squads until the tower falls.

Vergeway Chapter 6 Stage 15

  • Start with 55 Aether and 4,500 Stronghold health
  • Objective: Defeat all Enemies
  • 21 Enemies to beat
  • Enemies encountered: Vile Obelisk, Death Knight, Ethereal Guide, Grim Reaper, Voodoo Shaman
  • Card selection: Monolith Tower, Lightning Tower, Crossbow Tower, Trebuchet Squad, Starfall

This one can be tricky, and it might come down to the final seconds.

You need a powerful defense since all your opponents are essentially officers or towers. A Monolith Tower at the second leftmost column should work, backed by two to three Crossbow Towers and a bunch of Lightning Towers. When the Monolith is about to fall, place a new one in front of it and populate the second column with four to five Lightning Towers.

Timing is essential when Voodoo Shaman appears. You need to use Starfall to stop them from casting their skills. They have a tell-tale animation (the ghost will start to inflate), and you need to prevent it from finishing since it pretty much destroys all your towers in two hits.

Keep an eye out for any Voodoo Shamans to keep them stunned, and replace the Monolith Tower when needed.

With about a minute left, you can start attacking.

Place a Monolith in the top right corner and Trebuchet Squads down and away from it but keep them in range of the towers. Place a second Monolith when your summoning region expands.

Put down another Monolith close to the final tower. At this point, the enemy sends two final units. Place Lightning Towers to kill them and use Starfall to stun the Voodoo Shaman again. Place more Trebuchet Squads and Lightning Towers to finish the stage.

Chapter 6 Complete

With this strategy, you should be able to complete Chapter 6. Some stages are pretty finicky and challenging, while others are a breeze. Good luck on obtaining the Power Key as the Chapter reward.
