Vitality Revamps CS:GO Roster With Astralis Veterans

After their defeat at the hands of NaVi, the Team Vitality roster seems to be in for drastic renovation, featuring recognizable names from CS:GO esports history.

Vitality’s overall performance at the PGL Stockholm Major was clearly a disappointment. In the showdown against future winner Natus Vincere, only Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut managed to score a positive kill-to-death ratio. The organization may consider surrounding ZywOo with better talent.

A New Vitality Roster

Rumors claim that Vitality will release Richard “shox” Papillon, Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van, and coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam. Veteran Shox and rookie Kyojin struggled in Vitality’s decisive match against NaVi. However, other sources added that this deal was not overly dependent on the team’s performance during the PGL Stockholm Major.

Former Astralis dynasty members Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Emil “Magisk” Reif, and coach Danny “zonic” Sorensen are supposedly coming as a package deal to replace them. The onboarding Danish trio was released from the Astralis CS:GO esports roster after the team was eliminated in the New Legends Stage. These three will complete the Vitality CS:GO roster alongside Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, and Zywoo.

Esports Talk host Jake Lucky posted a now-deleted screenshot showing Vitality owner Fabien “Neo” Devide’s foreshadowing October tweet, which was from Complexity CEO Jason Lake’s own tweet from August of 2019. The following month in 2019, Complexity added Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and William “RUSH” Thomas Wierzba to their roster.

Astrality

While the ex-Astralis members are all Danish, the foundation of the roster still comes from France. Therefore, CS:GO esports fans already speculate that the group will likely speak English in team communications. Additionally, apEX will most likely remain the team’s in-game leader, as ZywOo maintains the AWP role.

There isn’t any official confirmation yet regarding this new Vitality powerhouse CS:GO roster. However, many fans are already calling this new squad “Astrality” on Twitter. This potential shakeup could mark the end of Vitality’s all-French era. Meanwhile, Astralis have replaced their missing parts with Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke, as well as coach Alexander “ave” Holdt.
