WB Promises That There Won’t Be Any More MultiVersus Progress Resets

Warner Bros. has said that there won’t be any more MultiVersus progress resets that players had to go through during testing phases earlier. The game went into open beta yesterday, and quickly became the most popular fighting game across all platforms. At the time of this writing, MultiVersus boasts record concurrent players on Steam and going by PlayStation tracking websites like PSNProfiles, it’s pretty darn popular on the PS4 and PS5 as well.

MultiVersus progress from early access is saved

According to WB Games’ social and community director Nikki Grantham, those who player Multiversus during the early access period between July 19 and 25 will have their progress saved. What this means is that once you unlock a character that you’ve played before or that character enters free rotation, you’ll pick up right where you left.

Moving forward, character progression will not reset. All characters will always be unlockable with in-game earnable Gold again when they come out of the free character preview rotation. If you played during the Early Access period, all of your progression to all of the characters you played during July 19-25 is saved. So, no worries if you can’t unlock all of the characters you played before, you’ll keep and resume your progress once they’re in the free rotation, or if you unlock them.

WB also reiterated the message in the Twitter thread below:

Something is better than nothing!

In other news, Sony rolled out a new PS5 system software update beta today and it comes packed with much-awaited features, and all mainline Yakuza games are set to land on PS Plus by the end of this year.
