Stickers can be placed on Ball Capsules in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. They have a number of uses. Here’s what you need to know.
As you begin playing through Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, you’ll eventually be given some Stickers by kindly NPCs. Receiving some Stickers unlocks a Ball Capsules option in your menu bar which, when opened up, reveals a number of ball placements and slots for Sticker allocation.
These Stickers are a unique way to spice up your Pokémon’s capsules. Depending on what Sticker you place, upon releasing a Pokémon into the battlefield you’ll see a variety of effects appear on screen. For example, if you apply a ribbon Sticker you’ll see some ribbons erupt from the capsule when your Pokémon enters the field. You can preview the animations by pressing the “+” button.

Other than decorating your Pokémon’s storage ball, Stickers can be used to help add some flair when you enter the Super Contest Show in Hearthome City.
Adding Stickers can award you with bonus points. To earn the maximum number of bonus points, ensure the stickers you’ve used match the theme you’ve entered (e.g. Coolness, Cuteness, Beauty, Cleverness, or Toughness).
Up to 20 Stickers can be applied to each Ball Capsule. The more you collect, the more variety you’ll have available to you. If you’re having trouble finding them, be sure to speak to every NPC possible, or visit the dedicated Sticker shop in Sunyshore City.
