What’s in Store for the Upcoming LCK Spring Split

New year, new season of League of Legends esports. The LCK announced their full schedule for the upcoming Spring Split on Twitter. The 2022 inaugural games are soon to begin for all regions.

LCK Spring Split

January 12 marks the start of the LCK season. The season will be formatting the same way as last year. Two best-of-three series will be played each day from Wednesday to Sunday.

Fans will be able to catch the inaugural battle on the Summoner’s Rift of DRX vs. Liiv SANDBOX. The first day will also see T1 face off against Kwangdong Freecs. This holds a match-up against former squadmates Faker and Teddy, the latter of whom left T1 to become a free agent in November.

As well as these matches, fans will get to see Worlds 2021 finalists, DWG KIA, play two series within the opening week. They will face off against KT Rolster on Thursday before facing Gen.G on Sunday. With teams making changes to rosters all over the LCK, the first weeks of the Spring Split will test them in team building, strategy, and skills.

LoL esports fans could be in for surprising wins and losses from their favorite teams. Although Riot has yet to announce any details about the spring playoffs, we can speculate that the LCK finals will be between March 16 and 20 based on this nine-week schedule.
