Finding these weapons in Tears of the Kingdom can be a bit of a pain. The Gerudo Shield is a random spawn, and the Gerudo Scimitar is also mostly a random drop, but at least has fixed spawn locations in the world.

Firstly, the Gerudo Shield is a random drop from enemies that drop chests. The way I got my Gerudo Shield in Tears of the Kingdom was by going to the location you can see on the map above. Here, there was a Shock Like, which drops a treasure chest when killed. It took me a few tries of saving before fighting it, then reloading, but I did eventually get a Gerudo Shield from here. Taking this enemy down doesn’t take long either, so you can do this repeatedly for a few minutes and hopefully get a Gerudo Shield quickly.

For the Gerudo Scimitar in Tears of the Kingdom, there’s the random methods you can use, such as a drop from a Molduga in the Gerudo Desert, but luckily there is a fixed method. You’re going to want to head to the Ancient Prison Ruins, which are in the Pela Wasteland. You can proceed to the location shown in the map above, and you should see a quicksand pit below. Dive into this quicksand pit, and you’ll end up at the Ancient Prison Ruins. Once you’re in there, follow the path around, opening gates as you go, and as you get to the second lever to open a gate to the left, that door will contain a Gerudo Scimitar inside.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for purchase from the Nintendo Store.
