Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Norwich City Match Analysis and Prediction

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to extend their winning streak to five now across all competitions when they host fellow Premier League outfits, Norwich City, at Molineux in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:00.

Wolves are currently among the in-form sides in the Premier League as they are unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions, claiming five victories and a draw in the run. The form has seen them rise in the English top tier and fancy themselves as one of the prospects to challenge for the top four positions. They are now just four points behind the fourth-placed Manchester United having collected 34 points from 21 matches.

Bruno Lage’s side head into the match in high spirits as they are coming off a four-match winning streak across all competitions, including the 3-0 victory against Sheffield United in the previous round of the FA Cup and they will be looking to maintain the run.

Lage’s  will fancy their chances as they are in great home form having only suffered one defeat in their last eight matches at Molineux and have won their last two claiming a 3-1 victory against Southampton in the Premier League following their win against Sheffield. Also, they are unbeaten in their last five against their visitors.

Norwich City meanwhile have been on a resurgent form recently winning three of their last four across all competitions. Back-to-back victories against Everton (2-1) and Watford (3-0) in the Premier League, has seen them climb off the root of the table and are currently one place and one point outside the relegation zone.

The Canaries booked a place in the fourth round of the competitions after claiming 1-0 win against a Championship outfit Charlton Athletic and they will be looking to record a good cup run as their aim at building their confidence with a win. Although, Dean Smith will need to work on his sides defence who have only kept two clean sheets in their last 10 matches across all competitions.
