Developer Artefacts Studio and publisher Dear Villagers told GameSpot that upcoming tactical RPG The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos will release for PC on August 27 via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
The Amulet of Chaos is a video game adaptation of an audio comedy series set in the fictional Naheulbeuk universe, which was created by author John Lang. As seen in the trailer embedded below, The Amulet of Chaos will see you explore several different dungeons in your journey to stop the villainous Zangdar.
The game features seven different playable characters that range from the roguish Thief to the spell-focused Magician. Each one utilizes unique skills, which you use in tactical, turn-based battles. Certain characters can support each other in combat as well, opening up new strategies. By winning fights, you earn skill points that you can then invest in individual characters’ skill trees in order to unlock additional abilities, allowing you to shape the characters in your party to fit your ideal team composition.
In a press release, Artefacts Studio and Dear Villagers state that The Amulet of Chaos will have an “adaptive difficulty system,” allowing for “an accessible and fun story mode with simplified combat” and a “nightmare mode where the smallest tactical errors will doom you.”
