Court rules in Epic Fortnite lawsuit that Apple must allow devs to offer their own in-app purchase methods

A California court ruled today that Apple must permanently allow developers to include third-party in-app purchase methods, such as links to their own websites, on iOS apps as a part of its final decision in the hallmark Epic Games v. GRID Secures a $10M Series A Investment, Pushes into U.S. Market 

Berlin-based esports data firm GRID eSports announced that it has secured a $10M USD Series A financing round from investors including Alinea Capital, Bumble Ventures, Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, Agileo Ventures, and NFL player JuJu Smith-Schuster. The investment brings GRID’s total funds raised to $11.6M.   The company, which launched its esports data services in September 2018 during the FACEIT Major: London 2018, a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition, revealed that it intends to use the investment proceeds to grow its data platform and scale its U.S. presence after expanding to the market earlier this year.  Coinsmart. Esports data platform GRID has announced a $10m (~£7.28m) Series A funding round, with NFL player JuJu Smith-Schuster investing in the firm.  Alongside Smith-Schuster, ‘industry leaders’ behind Alinea Capital, Bumble Ventures, and Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder took part in the firm’s funding round, as well as ‘leading investors in the gaming, iGaming and tech industry’. GamerzClass Secures $1M Financing, Refreshes Board of Directors

Danish educational esports platform GamerzClass raised a $1M USD financing round led by Copenhagen-based venture capital fund Bumble Ventures. As part of the investment, the company also refreshed its board of directors and presented a new strategy. Further investors in the financing round included London-based firm TrueSight Ventures, the danish growth fund Vækstfonden (which is also an investor in esports tournament organizer BLAST), former general partner at Index Ventures Ben Holmes, Christian Legêne, and former deputy director of TDC Group Kathrine Stampe Anderson, who also joins GamerzClass’ board of directors.
