Team Spirit step out of the shadows, eliminate Virtus Pro from The International 10

Team Spirit can’t be stopped in the lower bracket of The International 10. They’ve followed up a sweep of two-time TI champions OG earlier today with the organization’s first win over Eastern European rival Virtus Pro since Spirit signed the Yellow Submarines stack last December and just the second win over VP in the organization’s history.  While the Vici Gaming and T1 series slowly slid into the Chinese Dota 2 team’s favor over the course of the three games, the CIS showdown was competitive throughout—even if some of the matches

Five months after multiple THESPIKE staff members spoke out about not being paid by former CEO Artur Minacov, the company announced today that it has “closed a transfer of ownership” that includes payment for all staff members and writers.  In May, members of the THESPIKE writing staff accused Minacov of owing them $40,000 for months of unpaid work. After the entire staff contacted Minacov about the issue and didn’t receive a response, they went public with their situation. They have since waited for THESPIKE to find new ownership to be

Fnatic adds smooya on trial

Fnatic has signed Owen “smooya” Butterfield on a three-month trial, the organization announced today. The British AWPer stood in for Fnatic in the IEM Winter Europe open qualifier last weekend and helped them beat GamerLegion, K23, and Galaxy Racer. Smooya was under contract with Movistar Riders until this morning, so Fnatic got to sign him without paying a buyout. The international CS:GO team also played an official match with academy player Iulian “regali” Harjău but ended up deciding on giving smooya a shot. Smooya’s arrival means that Fnatic has a British core

fnatic have announced the signing of Owen "smooya" Butterfield in a deal that will see the Brit trial for the team for at least three months, with an option to extend beyond that point. The news comes within hours of the AWPer's departure from Movistar Riders, where he had been sitting on the bench for two months. The 22-year-old joins the team as a replacement for Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson, who was placed on the bench on Saturday following fnatic's last-place exit at IEM Fall, which resulted in their failure

Ricochet Unable to Target Cronus and Controller Hacks, Activision Working on Fix

Call of DutyAfter nearly three years, Activision has placed some level of proper anti-cheat into the game. While it is great to see the first steps taken toward a hacker-free game, there are already issues arising. Third-party devices, such as the Cronus Max are having trouble being detected by the anti-cheat. This opens the door for hackers to run as rampant just as they have in the past until Activision is able to properly update the anti-cheat to handle third-party devices.Q: Will well-meaning software result in false positives?A: There will

00Nation bench HEN1, LUCAS1

00Nation have moved Henrique "HEN1" Teles and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles to the bench, the organisation announced on Thursday. The change to the roster leaves the team with four players on its starting lineup, which will presumably see Alencar "trk" Rossato moved from a rotational position in the six-man roster into a full-time slot. The benching of the brothers comes in the wake of a last place finish in IEM Fall North America, in which 00Nation were unable to pick up a single map win in their group and were subsequently

VALORANT player 3D prints foldable Prime 2.0 Karambit

A VALORANT player 3D printed a foldable Prime 2.0 Karambit, showing how cool the popular skin looks in real life.  VALORANT player Walid-Mafuj uploaded a short clip of the knife in action as they spun it around their finger and opened and closed the blade. A loose hinge allows the knife to open when swung, making it look like it has a spring-loaded mechanic. The 3D printed version also has the same aesthetic and colorway as the in-game version, allowing users to feel just as cool as their in-game character.

How to allocate more RAM to a game in Windows

Some applications in Windows require more RAM to run than others. Games require far more random access memory (RAM), otherwise known as operative memory, to run than word processing apps because they have intense graphics requirements. Windows 10 typically allocates RAM automatically to each program with a limit on how much they can use. While this system is adequate for most apps, some games may suffer from slow performance or long load times because of their RAM limitation. The best way to rectify this issue is by allocating more RAM
