The series does big numbers on the digital front day 1. Last week saw the launch of the latest entry in Activision’s primary franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The game did big business, of course, but surprisingly it actually wasn’t number 1 on the charts everywhere. Of course, that doesn’t really mean a lot considering the state of digital media as well as regional differences, but if you have any doubts that Cold War didn’t perform top of class as usual, Activision can assure you it did.
