London-based esports apparel brand Raven announced Wednesday that it has secured a license from the Call of Duty League to design, manufacture, and sell official team and league merchandise. While financial terms and length of the deal were not disclosed, Raven Managing Director Sam Wells told The Esports Observer that Raven is a “European licensee,” and that the licensing deal is for more than a “one-off” or limited run of merchandise.  The first fruits of this license will be a limited-run of CDL Championship t-shirts featuring a “custom wire design

Liquid Rivalries: League of Legends

The Yankees. The Lakers. The Patriots. The Red Wings. FC Barcelona. These are all legacy teams. At this point, they’re known for being known. Even people with next to no knowledge about the game have heard these names. And if you do know the game, you probably love some of these teams for elevating it and also hate them for dominating it. Any fan from the Curse days can probably remember how frustrating it was to be a step behind TSM so often. Then, when TSM was finally slipping up, it

The Problem With Forced LEC Narratives

by Petar Vukobrat in League of Legends | Jul, 11th 2020 Narratives are the heart of competitive League, which holds true for the LEC as much as it does for any other region. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated Review

Nearing the end of SpongeBob's journey under the sea, you're tasked with guiding a ball through a giant Rube Goldberg machine in Mermaid Man's Lair. Once you activate the machine you have to match the ball’s painstakingly slow speed while using SpongeBob's arsenal of bubble abilities to make sure it doesn’t fall over. It’s a simple task in concept, but trying to execute it is some of the most unfun and Sisyphean gameplay in recent memory. In one section of the puzzle, all you need to do is stand on

Minecraft Dungeons has charm and potential, but needs lot more time in the furnace

Minecraft is one of the most popular games on the planet, so it’s natural that Microsoft, after buying creator Mojang some years back, would attempt to apply the genre’s playful, blocky aesthetic to other genres. After modest success with the Story Mode adventure game and Pokémon GO-like Minecraft Earth, they’ve tried their hand at a light action-RPG à la Diablo — and unfortunately come up rather short. For now, that is. Minecraft Dungeons is a sort of my-first-dungeon-crawler type game, a friendly, streamlined version of the genre Diablo created
