Hot on the heels of the PS5 reveal event's announcement of Resident Evil: Village, Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil franchise has surpassed 100 million units sold worldwide. The Resident Evil series debuted in 1996 with Resident Evil, though it's grown in size and scope over the years.
