TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘Aruna’s Adventure’

TouchArcade Rating:There were a bunch of really good games released this week, but the one I find I keep coming back to is the one that offers exactly what it says it does on the tin. It’s Aruna’s Adventure ($4.99) from developer James Swiney, and it promises an adventure in a similar vein to the original 8-bit The Legend of Zelda. That’s precisely what you get, and while it sounds strange, it’s that focus and simplicity that makes Aruna’s Adventure so enjoyable. Don’t expect any huge skill trees or complex

TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘Songbringer’

TouchArcade Rating:Mobile is home to a bunch of great original games, but equally important is the huge number of excellent games that have been ported over from other platforms. Back in 2015 Wizard Fu Games successfully crowdfunded a project for an idea that was essentially “What if the original The Legend of Zelda was different every time you played it?" A couple of years later that project, called Songbringer, launched on desktop and consoles with a Nintendo Switch port following in 2018. One of the original stretch goals of the

The Sublime ‘Skate City’ on Apple Arcade is Updated with a New Level Based on Miami, Florida

TouchArcade Rating:In case you were wondering, because I’m SURE you are, my far and away most played Apple Arcade game to date is Skate City from Norwegian developer Agens Games and Alto’s Adventure creators Snowman. And I mean it’s not even close. I couldn’t begin to count the hours I’ve put into Skate City since it launched alongside Apple Arcade about a year ago. Agens are the creators of Skate Lines, a 2015 mobile skateboarding game that I was borderline obsessed with back then. Skate City was originally going to
