Another TWAB, but still no mention of Eververse concerns in Destiny 2

It’s Thursday, Guardians, which means a new This Week at Bungie (TWAB). I opened it hoping to find some acknowledgement of one of the biggest player gripes in the last year. Instead, I found details about Trials of Osiris, cheating, disconnects, and emblems. Missing is any mention of the Eververse, probably the biggest complaint players have about the game right now. Let’s dive in. On the positive side of things, which we’ll get out of the way quickly, Bungie is looking to improve the way Trials of Osiris rewards work,

Out Now: ‘Bomb Chicken’, ‘Totally Reliable Delivery Service’, ‘Bleach: Immortal Soul’, ‘Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You’, ‘R.B.I. Baseball 20’, ‘Sagrada’, ‘2 Grind 2 Furious!’, ‘Red and Blue’ and More

Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes

Letter from the Editor: We’re not working on April Fools’ Day 2020

April Fools' Day is already a stupid day on the Internet, and we are not having it this year. The Shacknews Staff is taking the day off with pay. 2020 has been enough of a pain. I have certainly engaged in my fair share of pranks on this day, but now is not the time for that magumbo. Shacknews will not encourage any of this in the middle of the global COVID-19 pandemic. I paid Shacknews employees a day early. Suck it, #COVID19. pic.twitter.com/2RWmBMj5R9 — Productive Citizen ✌?????? (@technosucks) March

The Tiger King/The Office Crossover You Didn’t Know You Needed

If you haven't yet heard about Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, it's the latest true crime documentary to take the world by storm, repeatedly topping Netflix's internal top 10 list--and now it's being mashed up with Netflix's most popular show of all time.Revolving around a cast of very real but still larger-than-life characters, Tiger King has provided plenty of fodder for new memes--and it was only a matter of time before it got mashed up with other popular TV shows. The Office actor Rainn Wilson has mashed up his character

How Animal Crossing Was Born From One Of Nintendo’s Biggest Flops

Nintendo's charmingly offbeat life-sim series Animal Crossing made its long-awaited debut on Switch this month with the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The game arrives nearly 20 years after the franchise first premiered on the world stage, and in that time it has grown into one of Nintendo's marquee properties, appearing on almost all of the company's modern consoles and shifting millions of copies worldwide. But while Western fans were introduced to the series with 2002's eponymous Animal Crossing for GameCube, the franchise actually originated on Nintendo's previous home
