Los Angeles-based law firm Morrison Rothman LLP has named Adam Gertz to the newly-created role of head of esports. Gertz joined the firm in May of 2019, and is vacating his role as senior counsel for the new position.  Prior to joining Morrison Rothman, Gertz served as counsel and cybersecurity advisory to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. Non-profit trade group the Artist Rights Alliance (ARA) sent a letter Monday to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos questioning his testimony to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s Antitrust Subcommittee on July 29, about the use of unlicensed music on the company’s Twitch live streaming service.
