Microsoft Flight Simulator Sim Update 3 & Contrails Get Release Date

Today Microsoft and Asobo Studios released another development update for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including a few interesting details. First of all, the third major “Sim Update” which will focus on improving the core simulation now has a release date and is coming on March 11, alongside a new trailer with undisclosed content. Interestingly, the much-awaited visual contrails will also be added to the SDK on the same date. The next world update, which will add content and details to France and Benelux is still slate for a generic “early April.”

Microsoft Flight Simulator Nelson Airport in New Zealand Announced by NZA Simulations

Third-party developer NZA Simulations announced another airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developer revealed on its Facebook page that development has started on Nelson (NZNS) in New Zealand, which isn’t surprising since the country is NZA Simulations’ focus, as the name certainly suggests. Below you can check out the first screenshot, alongside a real-life picture of the same scene. Nelson is the sixth-busiest airport in New Zealand by passenger numbers, and it’s the home base of the regional airline Air Nelson. It’s also a relevant international airport for business jets.
