TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘Penrose’

TouchArcade Rating:I love digital choose your own adventure books and gamebooks because instead of futzing around flipping back and forth between physical pages and trying to remember which paths you’ve taken and which you haven’t, the digital version can just do all that work for you. I’m lazy! But it turns out that digital interactive fiction can be capable of a whole lot more than just being bookmarks, and that’s the theme of what Penrose ($0.99) is all about. Penrose is from Doublespeak Games, creators of A Dark Room, so

The Excellent ‘Forager’ from HopFrog and Humble Games Releases Later This Month on iOS and Android

When Forager developer HopFrog announced a mobile port in addition to various details for other platforms, I was pretty excited because Forager is excellent and I’ve put in too much time on Nintendo Switch. The original Forager debuted on PC before seeing Nintendo Switch and PS4 versions that Humble Bundle (now Humble Games) published before it finally arrived on Xbox One through Xbox Game Pass. With information on the mobile port scarce, HopFrog revealed that Forager on mobile would include all content and updates when it arrives on mobile “soon".

Stunning Mixed Reality Adventure ‘HoloVista’ Arrives on Mobile September 30th

A little less than a year ago developer Aconite began teasing a new project called HoloVista that looked stunning both in a visual sense and due to its unique concept. You play as Carmen who is a offered a junior architect position at the mysterious Mesmer & Braid architecture firm, but only if she is able to go out and complete her first assignment, which is to photograph the interior of a magnificent mansion. Sounds like a pretty sweet gig to me! The mansion is unlike anything I’ve ever seen

Out Now: ‘Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower’, ‘Deck ‘Em!’, ‘Truberbrook’, ‘Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles’, ‘Deadeye Deputy’, ‘Bright Paw’, ‘Penrose’, ‘Tintin Match’, ‘Quick Drift’ and More

TouchArcade Rating:Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store

‘Jetpack Joyride’ Crosses Over into the World of ‘Metal Slug’ with Limited Time Special Event

TouchArcade Rating:Did you know that it’s the NINE year anniversary of Jetpack Joyride? Just a couple of days ago, in fact. This game has been around for a looooonnnnggggg time, and it has received nearly constant updates over all of these years. It pretty much feels like our original review might as well have been for a different game altogether. Such is the world of mobile gaming, I guess. One thing Jetpack Joyride has not been shy about is doing a wacky crossover with another famous IP. In particular I
