Wild Rift: Horizon Cup 2021 will not be the “first Wild Rift Worlds”

Riot Games has announced the first global event for League of Legends: Wild Rift. The Wild Rift: Horizon Cup 2021 will be held from Nov. 13 to 21 in Singapore as an offline event. While the event will feature 10 teams from around the world, the Horizon Cup will not be the “first Wild Rift Worlds,” according to a tweet by Leo Faria, the lead of the game’s esports scene at Riot. Niantic is making some additional changes for Pokémon Go Battle League Season Nine, like putting an extra emphasis on end-of-season rankings.  Starting on Aug. 30, players will receive their end-of-season rewards for Season Eight and everyone’s GBL rank will be reset. The rank-up requirements will remain the same in Season Nine as in Season Eight.  Reward encounters will rotate, with several new and returning Pokémon available to obtain.
