Renegades claim PGL Stockholm Major slot for Oceania

Wins over VERTEX in the opening round and LookingForOrg in the upper bracket final ensured Renegades at least a top-two finish at IEM Fall 2021 Oceania which combined with their previous strong results sees Joshua "INS" Potter and co. stamp their ticket for the Major in Sweden. Renegades are the fourth team to qualify for the Major — following Natus Vincere, Spirit, and Gambit —, with the Australians set to attend the event as "Contenders" and start the competition in the first stage of play. BLAST Showdown bracket set as Heroic, Virtus.pro join team list

BLAST has revealed Heroic and Virtus.pro as their two direct invites to the Fall Showdown, taking place on October 12-17. The teams ranked sixth and eighth in the world will compete in the 16-team event, which decides the final two spots for the $425,000 Fall Final in November. These two invites mean that Gambit, who won the BLAST Premier Spring Final in June after battling through the Showdown, will not be participating in the Fall season of the tournament. However, Gambit's win in Spring has already ensured them a spot

G2, CPH Flames sit atop IEM Fall’s Group A with 2-0 records as FPX upset mousesports

G2 continue to show great form at IEM Fall with a solid victory over BIG and now sit at the top of Group A alongside the lesser Copenhagen Flames, who beat FunPlus Phoenix and AURA to get their 2-0 record after two days of play. BIG started their very tough IEM Fall opening matchups with two losses in the first days of play to mousesports and G2, and will now hope to get some wins against some of the lesser opposition to remain in contention in an uphill battle for

DBL PONEY and NIP take lead in Group D at IEM Fall

In their second victory in the group, DBL PONEY denied fnatic on Nuke after a back and forth match that ended 16-13, with the second consecutive loss putting pressure on Alex "ALEX" McMeekin and co. who require a top-six finish at the event in order to guarantee a spot at the Major. NIP ran over FaZe on Ancient with a 16-8 scoreline as Hampus "hampus" Poser led the Swedish side with 22 kills. The Ninjas already sit comfortably in the RMR rankings at fourth but will look to secure as

ViCi pull out of BLAST Fall Showdown, to be replaced by Lynn Vision

ViCi have decided not to attend BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021. The CS:GO team will be replaced by Lynn Vision, the runners-up of the Douyu Fall Cup, the qualifying tournament for BLAST in Asia. ViCi have withdrawn from BLAST to focus on IEM Fall 2021: Asia, which will take place from Oct. 5 to 10. The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown begins on Oct. 12. So if ViCi competed in both events, that would only leave the team one day to travel from Asia to Europe.  The event organized by ESL

Gambit and Spirit secure spots in 2021 PGL Stockholm Major

Gambit Esports and Team Spirit have locked in their spots for the PGL Stockholm Major, which starts on Oct. 23. The two CS:GO teams from the CIS region accomplished this due to their recent wins at IEM Fall 2021: CIS, which secured both of them a position in the top five of the CIS’ Regional Major Rankings by the end of the tournament.  Gambit and Spirit are the second and third squads to have guaranteed that they’ll compete in this year’s CS:GO Major in the capital of Sweden. They join

Vitality and OG edge out victories; Dignitas take first win against MAD Lions

ENCE was at the centre of another brawl, as their game against OG extended all the way to a fourth set of overtime before it saw Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen's men being crowned victors. Vitality had a close game of their own after surviving a Sprout comeback which brought the game to round number 30 on the main stream. Dignitas had the most comfortable night so far, shaking off yesterday's close loss against ENCE and taking their first win at IEM Fall Europe by defeating MAD Lions in what was the

Gambit, Spirit guarantee Contender spots at PGL Major Stockholm

The two teams are the second and third to ensure an appearance in at least the first stage at PGL Major Stockholm, joining Natus Vincere in the small camp of teams who can breathe a little easier knowing they will make a trip to Sweden at the end of October. Although neither Spirit or Gambit have been able to earn more RMR points just yet, as they may still finish outside of the playoffs with 3-1 records in their respective groups at IEM Fall, they cannot finish lower than fifth

FaZe score crucial win over fnatic in Group D; NIP, DBL PONEY win openers

The first day of IEM Fall Europe has come to an end with the conclusion of the opening matches in Group D, where NIP, DBL PONEY, and FaZe all secured wins to net themselves three points in the round-robin standings. The early victory over fnatic is especially important for FaZe, who need to place in the top seven to guarantee themselves a place at the Major, and leaves Alex "ALEX" McMeekin's side in a dire situation as they would need to place in the top six to guarantee their own

OG, Vitality dominate in IEM Fall Group C opening matches; ENCE edge past Dignitas

Vitality and OG went on a speedrun in their IEM Fall Group C opening matches with incredibly one-sided first halves to set up their best-of-one victories, while ENCE and Dignitas brawled on the main stream. OG’s match was particularly important as Casper "ruggah" Due’s men sit 50 points behind Sprout, the team they beat, with both currently holding the two Contender slots in the European Regional Major Ranking. ENCE, who have shown gleams of potential since returning from the player break and now sit at No.17 in the world ranking,
