Sony Trademark for Xbox Exclusive Sunset Overdrive Discovered

A recently discovered trademark filing reveals that Sony may be planning to publish the 2014 action game Sunset Overdrive on the PlayStation. While the game was originally published by Microsoft, it’s owned by developers Insomniac Games, which was acquired by Sony in 2019. The trademark was filed on April 26, according to the listing. The listing was spotted by my favorite Twitter source, Nibel. In case you didn’t remember, Sunset Overdrive was one of the few Xbox One launch exclusive titles. It was also one of the very few titles

Sunset Overdrive Trademark Registered by Sony

Sony owns the rights to Insomniac’s IP. Sunset Overdrive may not have seen the kind of success that other Insomniac works like Ratchet and Clank and Spider-Man enjoy, but as anyone who’s played it would tell you, it was a legitimately excellent game that deserved way more recognition than it got. The future of the IP has been in doubt for a long time now, and even though Sony picked up the ownership of the property back when they acquired Insomniac Games, there was no clarity on whether they intended to do anything with it.

Sony Has Filed a Trademark for “Soho Engine”

Could The Getaway be in line for an unexpected (but most welcome) comeback? Well, this is surprising. Sony has filed a trademark for “Soho Engine” in Europe (spotted by Gematsu on Twitter). On its own, that might mean very little to you, but it possibly hints at a comeback for one of Sony’s most beloved cult properties. Team Soho was, of course, the developer that made the PS2’s open world crime adventure The Getaway. That may not have been the most critically or commercially acclaimed game back then, but time has certainly

Why Activision Filed a Warzone Trademark Lawsuit Against an Indie Developer

by Jason Parker in Call of Duty | Apr, 14th 2021 What’s all this business about the Activision Warzone lawsuit, anyway? It has to do with the trademark “Warzone,” since there was an indie game with that name several years before Call of Duty Warzone even cropped up. The owner/creator of Warzone.com won’t cease attempting to halt Activision’s use of the “Warzone” trademark. Though Warzone.com has been around since 2017, the creator didn’t set up a trademark until Oct. 30. Activision? They got to it back in June 2020. Hasbro’s Risk inspires

shroud isn’t happy about the aim and recoil in Valorant

Nick Johnson • Apr 03, 10:08Twitch streamer Michael "shroud" Grzesiek let Valorant have a piece of his mind after he nissed what looked like two easy kills while playing his daily dose of Riot Games' first-person shooter. Twitch fans know that if there's one thing shroud is known for, it's hitting some pretty nice flicks on enemy players. But after shroud missed two kills on the Kingdom assassin Reyna, he let loose his frustration with Riot's shooter. shroud's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive background means that he has a good feel for
