The Marvel’s Avengers: War for Wakanda Expansion unlock time has come. The expansion update is now available for free for owners of the game to begin playing as they please.
Highlighted by Crystal Dynamics as the biggest content drop for Marvel’s Avengers since its launch, the War for Wakanda Expansion brings new villains, a new enemy Faction, the Wakandan Jungle Biome, a new Outpost, a Power Level cap increase and much more.
According to the developer studio, Evan Narcisse, author of the Rise of the Black Panther Marvel comics was brought in to ensure the game’s original War for Wakanda story did “justice to such an important hero.”
When the Klaw (Ulysses Klaue), a rogue scientist with a dark secret and a darker grudge, assembled an army of mercenaries equipped with deadly sonic technology and launched sonic fracking towers across Wakanda to extract the Vibranium from the ground, a devastating process that corrupts the Vibranium and creates clusters of deadly poisonous shards resulted.
Now, with the dangerous corrupted Vibranium starting to appear across the globe, the Avengers travel to Wakanda to offer their help to King T’Challa.
Marvel’s Avengers is available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia and Windows PC (via Steam).
