One of Ubisoft’s big reveals for its Ubisoft Forward event has already leaked<\/a>, and now the company has produced a brief teaser for Far Cry 6 with a look at its big star. The short clip shows Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito smoking a cigarette, with a short message that we’ll see more to come at the event.<\/p>\n

The leak revealed that Esposito will appear in Far Cry 6, which is supported by this tweet coming from the official Far Cry account. Far Cry 6 will take place in a tropical paradise called Yara, ruled over by the despotic Anton Castillo and his son Diego. Esposito appears likely to be playing Castillo.<\/p>\n

This tweet appears to acknowledge the leak with a cheeky reference, saying “Anton would not be pleased.” And as those who have watched Breaking Bad or its spin-off Better Call Saul can attest, you don’t want to get on Esposito’s bad side. He also played a new Star Wars villain<\/a> in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.<\/p>\n

The listing also revealed that Far Cry 6 will appear on both current and next-gen consoles, and offer a free upgrade path for digital purchases from PlayStation 4 to PS5<\/a>, similar to Microsoft’s Smart Delivery<\/a> on Xbox One to Xbox Series X<\/a>. According to the leaked store listing, it’s scheduled for release on February 18, 2021.<\/p>\n

The Ubisoft Forward stream<\/a> will take place this Sunday, July 12. We expect to see more from Far Cry 6 there, as well as other games like Watch Dogs: Legion<\/a> and Hyper Scape<\/a>.<\/p>\n
