The Gfk has released new data for weekly physical game sales in the UK (via GamesIndustry<\/a>), and the charts have seen some interesting activity. Dying Light 2 Stay Human<\/a> <\/em>was the big new release, and it\u2019s apparently enjoyed an impressive launch, selling almost enough to take the top spot. Given the fact that the game immediately got off to a healthy launch on Steam<\/a> last week, this doesn\u2019t come as much of a surprise. 54% of these sales came on the PS5, 27% on Xbox, and 19% on PS4. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Pokemon Legends: Arceus<\/a> <\/em>is still the No. 1 game. The new open world RPG debuted on top<\/a> of the charts last week with a stellar debut<\/a>, and has since then gone on to hit ridiculous sales numbers globally<\/a>, so to see it continuing to dominate sales proceedings seems par for the course so early on in the game\u2019s life. <\/p>\n

The rest of the top 10 is full of evergreen persistent sellers. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe <\/em>has re-entered the top 10 at No. 8, jumping up from eighteenth position, while other perennial sellers like FIFA 22, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/a>, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, <\/em>and Grand Theft Auto 5 <\/em>are also featured.<\/p>\n
