SloClap promises an &#8220;exclusive gift&#8221; for those who bought the Deluxe Edition.<\/p>\n<p>Some kind of PlayStation Store issue had prevented buyers from preloading the game on both PS5 and PS4. This also meant that players who pre-ordered the deluxe edition missed out on roughly seven hours of early access.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The PlayStation teams have told us the early access issue is now resolved, and the game can now be downloaded! Again, we&#8217;re very sorry to all players who were hoping to play earlier today, we&#8217;ll have an exclusive gift for all Deluxe edition holders to share with you soon !<\/span>\u2014 SifuGame (@SifuGame) <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SifuGame\/status\/1490403045120827396?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 6, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Original story:<\/strong> Those who had pre-ordered the deluxe edition of <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/sifu\">Sifu<\/a> through the PlayStation Store were supposed to start playing the game today (6th February) thanks to an early access period \u2014 but somehow, Sony&#8217;s managed to bugger the whole thing up.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Sifu is unavailable for preload even if you pre-ordered. Being able to play the game a few days early was always touted as a deluxe edition extra \u2014 so this is a bit of a disaster, and it&#8217;s not a good look for Sony&#8217;s digital storefront.<\/p>\n<p>Some kind of technical hiccup is to blame, then, and Sony is apparently trying to sort it out as we pen this article. Developer SloClap&#8217;s most recent update was posted around an hour ago, reassuring players that the platform holder was investigating, and that the issue would hopefully be resolved &#8220;shortly&#8221;.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are aware that there are issues preventing the download of Sifu through the early access on the PlayStation store, and are very sorry for the inconvenience. We&#8217;re looking into it with PlayStation to fix it asap, and will update you on the situation very soon!<\/span>\u2014 SifuGame (@SifuGame) <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SifuGame\/status\/1490302672221753346?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 6, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>However, this doesn&#8217;t change the fact that people paid money to play Sifu early \u2014 and they&#8217;ve already missed out on roughly five hours of game time. And this is on a Sunday, no less. A lot of buyers were probably hoping to get stuck in before having to go back to work next week. We <em>assume<\/em> that some kind of compensation will be in order.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll update this article as soon as we hear more.
