Following a rather unique offseason with transfers and promotions in 2021-2022, the majority of League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) organizations are sticking to their known spring lineups for the next Summer Split, which begins on June 15th.

LCK 2022 Summer is the second split in the tenth year life span of South Korea’s professional League of Legends league. A total of ten teams are competing this year, with the tournament following a double round-robin group stage, something we are used to at this point from South Korea.

All competing teams, who are definitely equipped with heavy names on their rosters, are hoping to qualify for the 2022 League of Legends Worlds Championship, in the final Split of the year. Teams such as T1, Gen.G, DWG KIA, and Hanwha Life Esports have all qualified for Worlds 2021 before and are expected to represent the region once more.

However today we are taking a look at what we think are the top three teams within the league, it is rather difficult to choose from such a league, as mentioned before all the LCK teams have at least two or more mainstream names.

-DWG KIA

With the extremely hyped comeback of top laner Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon, who was part of the dream team 2020 World Championship lineup, fans definitely expect DWG KIA to dominate once more in the LCK Summer Split 2022.

Nuguri last played for FunPlus Phoenix in the LPL 2021, sadly not making a strong appearance as FPX was not able to take the final series of the split, afterwards taking a break in the spring. Nuguri reunites once more with Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu and Heo “ShowMaker” Su in order to resurrect most likely the best chemistry the game has ever seen, which made DWG world famous.

This is the current roster for the korean juggernauts:

Top: Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon

Jungle: Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu

Mid: Heo “ShowMaker” Su

Bot: Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil

Support: Kim “Kellin” Hyeong-gyu

-Nongshim Redforce

Nongshim RedForce failed to find a constant team dynamic or synergy in the LCK Spring Split 2022, despite fielding an entirely new squad with mainstream names players like Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong and Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun were not able to show up in the big stage.

However this time around we expect for those issues to be resolved after having a long amount of time to address them.

Their roster for this split is the following:

Top: Kim “Canna” Chang-dong

Jungle: Lee “Dread” Jin-hyeok

Mid: Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong

Bot: Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun

Support: Lee “Effort” Sang-ho

-T1

Last but definitely not least we have T1, ending last split with a staggering 18-0 record in the LCK, T1 went on to win the LCK Spring playoffs, losing just one lackluster game to Gen.G. T1’s ascension to the top of the LCK has caught the interest of League of Legends’ fans once more. To be fair, T1’s success throughout the Spring Split was more than enough to significantly increase the region’s overall viewership and fan base.

Here is the staple roster we have come to love recently:

Top: Choi “Zeus” Woo-je

Jungle: Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon

Mid: Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok

Bot: Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong

Support: Ryu “Keria” Min-seok

These are what we think as the top three teams for the upcoming LCK 2022 Summer Split, now we have to see how well they do in order to secure a ticket for Worlds.

[81
14054
[5516,14036,5223,6420
