The 2022 HLTV Award Show is finally in the books, where nearly 300 players and talent from all over the world came together to commemorate the most outstanding individuals and teams of the past year.<\/p>\n

If you missed the show, here is a recap of all nominees and winners in each category of the HLTV and panel awards:<\/p>\n

Player of the Year<\/strong>

s1mple is the first player in history to be named world No. 1 for three different years<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

s1mple<\/a> has once again conquered the CS:GO world for a record-breaking third time in his career. The Ukrainian superstar took home the Player of the Year award over fellow AWPers ZywOo<\/a> and sh1ro<\/a>, who were acknowledged as the second and third-best players of 2022, respectively.<\/p>\n

s1mple<\/a> was the best player on Natus Vincere<\/a> in all but two events they participated in, had the most kills per round (0.86) and multi-kills (21.6%), and earned two Big Event MVPs along the way.<\/p>\n

Nigma Galaxy’s ANa bagged the award after a dominant year<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Nigma Galaxy<\/a> were in a league of their own all throughout 2022, and it was none other than their AWPer ANa<\/a> at the forefront of their success. The 23-year-old ended the year with a 1.39 LAN rating, 1.46 impact, and 0.51 DPR.<\/p>\n

ANa<\/a> was consistently the statistically best player on Nigma Galaxy<\/a> in all three of their triumphant ESL Impact runs, scoring a 1.36 rating at the Season 1 Finals, a 1.40 rating at ESL Impact Valencia, and a 1.41 rating at the Season 2 Finals.<\/p>\n

FaZe were the overall best team in 2022<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

FaZe<\/a> were crowned as the Team of the Year for 2022, ahead of Natus Vincere<\/a> and G2<\/a>. Their dominance in the first half of the year was simply unparalleled, winning IEM Katowice, ESL Pro League Season 15, PGL Major Antwerp, and IEM Cologne.<\/p>\n

Though their nearly unstoppable run was derailed following the summer break, the plethora of silverware FaZe<\/a> earned in the first seven months and multiple deep runs in the latter part was enough for them to be recognized as the best team throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Nigma Galaxy dominated the ESL Impact circuit<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Nigma Galaxy<\/a> were by far the best women’s team all throughout the year, and their achievements speak for themselves. The Russian-majority squad won the first two seasons of ESL Impact League along with ESL Impact Valencia, with all three grand finals being victories over Olga<\/a>‘s FURIA fe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The team’s lineup all boast a positive rating 2.0, and among the heaviest hitters are ANa<\/a> and vilga<\/a> who were recognized as the best and third-best women’s players in the world, respectively, throughout 2022.<\/p>\n

m0NESY’s rookie season ended with an MVP medal at the World Final<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

m0NESY<\/a>‘s first year in the spotlight did not disappoint. The former NAVI Junior<\/a> AWPer took the world by storm in his very first LAN event for G2<\/a> at IEM Katowice and never looked back since. The 17-year-old showcased more than just flashy AWPing throughout the year, with his consistency from tournament to tournament earning him the seventh spot on HLTV’s year-end top 20 players ranking.<\/p>\n

He was instrumental to G2<\/a>‘s first Big Event trophy in five years at the BLAST World Final, where the was also recognized as the tournament MVP, which made him the youngest to ever win the award at a Big Event.<\/p>\n
