Oceania\u2019s best and brightest <em>League<\/em> reps will battle it out on the Rift once more, but plenty has changed; new faces, a new format and a new end goal \u2014 the PCS playoffs. Who will carry the OCE torch forward?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\">\n<ul>\n<li>Split 2 finalists Chiefs, Pentanet kick off season with wins<\/li>\n<li>GZ, Bliss seek first wins in LCO<\/li>\n<li>Action resumes Tuesday 6pm AEDT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\">\n<p>The off-season is over, and competitive <em>League of Legends<\/em> is finally back.<\/p>\n<p>While other regions began their 2023 conquests two weeks ago, OCE fans have been made to wait \u2014 but no longer.<\/p>\n<p>The LCO is back \u2014 but it\u2019s a strange new world that our eight squads enter into. Major changes announced in November means a new pathway for our Oceanic representatives to tread.<\/p>\n<p>OCE will no longer be guaranteed a spot at MSI and Worlds, instead needing to pass the PCS gauntlet in order to represent the region on the big stage.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p>A new format, too: squads will have just five weeks to prove their worth in pursuit of <em>League<\/em> glory \u2014 and there\u2019s plenty of pressure on our debutants in Bliss and Ground Zero to hit the ground running early.<\/p>\n<p>Bliss will begin their LCO season with a bang: reigning champions Chiefs await the boys in pink in a season opener not to be missed, while Ground Zero kick off their LCO campaign against a rebuilt Pentanet.<\/p>\n<p>Mammoth will take on Dire Wolves, while Kanga have been awarded a win following today\u2019s announcement: <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/lco.gg\/2023\/01\/23\/peace-schedule-update-week-1\/\">Peace failed to submit right-to-work documentation<\/a> for a number of their squad, meaning the squad cannot take to the Rift for week one and have been handed with forfeits.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re covering LCO Split 1: teams, schedule, results and more.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-lco-split-1-2023-streams\"><strong>LCO Split 1 2023 Streams<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The LCO streams live on Twitch. Stage One will see each team will play a best-of-three against one another via round robin.<\/p>\n<p>Based upon Stage One results, Stage two sees each team seeded into two groups and play out a best-of-three double-elimination bracket.
