Having come through the qualifiers to reach the Mobile Legends Professional League Malaysia Season 10, Team Lunatix found themselves barely making it through to the playoffs, after victories over Team SMG and Team HAQ in Week 8 of the Regular Season pushed them ahead of their Team Caracal in their group. Even though they were knocked out swiftly in the playoff stage, Lunatix definitely shook things up with those two huge wins late in the tournament, and now they are hoping to continue to do so, with some massive additions to their roster.

On February 1st, the team confirmed the addition of two well-known players to their roster – one from the Philippines and another from Indonesia. Jomari “Jowm” Pingol, previously of Bren Esports, joins Lunatix after being released from the PH team after they placed in the top for at MPL PH Seaosn 10. Taking up the gold lane position, Jowm should be a brilliant addition to the roster, while Edwin “Fenryr” of ONIC Prodigy joins in the EXP lane.

Alongside the addition of two new players, Lunatix also confirmed that the ex-Nexplay EVOS coach, Paolo “Pao” Villanueva will be joining the squad, as well as the ex-EVOS Singapore jungle player, Andrew “Potato” Lim – who will be the team’s new Advisor.

With so many players from across the Southeast Asian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene, Team Lunatix could find themselves in a great position come MPL MY Season 11, as all the new additions bring in new ideas for picks and strategies. At time of writing we have not yet had a date confirmed for when the MPL MY Season 11 will kick off, but we do know that it should be this month, as we all wait patiently to see Team Lunatix in action.

Belandrial has spent most of his years following Dota 2 closely, but now has found a new home in the complex world of Mobile Esports. When not watching nearly every possible esports title available, you can find me running around Azeroth or building strange bases in Valheim.
