These three worst changes are here to bring players both new and old up to speed on how things have shaken up in Verdansk ’84.

Especially after the massive weapon balancing patch and breadth of new content that dropped with the launch of Season 4, here are our top three worst changes in Call of Duty: Warzone in 2021.

3. Satellite Drop Sounds

Don’t get us wrong, being able to pull a HARP killstreak or a loadout drop marker for free out of satellite caches is awesome. What sucks, however, is having to deal with the unpleasant noises the caches make when they fall from the sky, especially when you having nothing to do with them. It makes sense that they have to be loud and hectic to announce to other players that someone in the lobby is about to get a major in-game boost, but man does it get annoying to hear after a while.

2. Introduction of Several Broken Guns

From the Sykov Pistols to the Season 4 MG 82, it remains strange that Raven Software continues to allow new guns into Verdansk without realizing just how catastrophic they can be. Thankfully, however, the dev team seems to do a good job of owning up to their mistakes and nerfing them shortly after, but it remains a common pattern of the Warzone content cycle at this point.

1. Outdoor Bloom

Ever since the release of Verdansk ’84, there has been a pesky, orangish bloom that makes it very difficult to see through at times when fighting outside. While players have tried using different colorblind modes, and even Nvidia filters on PC—albeit at the cost of FPS—this strange outdoor haze can truly be the downfall of your squad at times.
