INZONE, the new gaming brand of multinational technology company Sony, has partnered with Riot Games‘ VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).
The multi-year deal will see the brand become the official headset partner of the VCT, starting with the Stage 2 Masters tournament taking place from July 10th-24th in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As the official headset partner of the VCT, Sony will provide its INZONE headsets for all VCT events. Additionally, the brand will collaborate with Riot Games to create a new broadcast segment known as “Open Mic.” The segment aims to highlight the importance of communication during matches.
The Stage 2 Masters will see 12 teams compete to earn VCT Points and a place at the season-ending VCT Champions event taking place in Istanbul at the beginning of September.
Whalen Rozelle, COO of Riot Games Esports, spoke on the deal: “We are excited to have Sony’s audio technology level up the experience at our global VALORANT Esports events.”
“Communication is a critical aspect of VALORANT and this partnership will enable us to bring our viewing audiences deeper into the most exciting moments of our biggest matches. Sony’s commitment to innovation will further elevate VALORANT as a leading global esport.”
