The funniest EU Protoss thing recently was Wardis EU tournament, where 8 out of 8 players who qualified from the play-in bracket were toss: WardiTV European League/2022
Same with EU GM; an endless sea of semi-pro toss players. :D

Do we know why uThermal declined his invite?
I think he semi-retired from SC2 competition and just focus on creating livestream / youtube content. He can still drop in and play on some tournaments though.

Is this based on what you speculate or is it something that he actually said somewhere?

That is official, he is mainly a content creator for quite some time now. At least since HSC i think it was (the tournament where he performed very well).
