[TSL 9] Live finals update – Neeb, TIME, Barcrafts

Hello everyone! We have some updates regarding the travel for TSL 9’s live top 12 at Utrecht.

Unfortunately, due to his class schedule, (Wiki)Neeb will be unable to travel for TSL 9 and has withdrawn from the competition. After speaking with ESL, we have determined that we will need to run a tiebreaker competition amongst the eliminated Lower Round 3 players ((Wiki)Solar, (Wiki)HeRoMaRinE, and (Wiki)Astrea, with (Wiki)SpeCial declining to participate) to determine who replaces Neeb’s spot. These matches will be held at Monday, Aug 15 11:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) and be a Best-of-Five Round Robin. Wardi has graciously offered to stream these matches, for those interested in seeing who our final player will be!

We’ve also received several questions about the nature of getting (Wiki)TIME to Utrecht, and to be as clear as we can while maintaining TIME’s privacy, we are working with him and KaiZi Gaming to do everything we can to maximize his ability to make it to Utrecht. We’ve booked travel for each of the other players who have qualified, except for the aforementioned player replacing Neeb (who hasn’t qualified yet, of course).

We’re also happy to share that both Mapu and Indy will be live on site with us, bringing their incredible spectator skills at the lowest latency possible. They’ll join ZombieGrub, Rotterdam, Wardi, feardragon, Steadfast, Lambo, Harstem, Wax, and a few not-quite-yet-confirmed guests as our talent team!

Thank you all for your continued support for TSL! While we’re planning on having a closed audience during the event, we are working with several BarCrafts to help provide options to enjoy TSL as a crowd. If you live near the London area in particular, we’re planning on partnering with a few different bars to support our fans, so keep an eye out! If you’d like to host a Barcraft or other viewing party, please reach out to us, and we’ll try to get you set up with some awesome goodies for anyone who shows up!
