Bethesda’s Fallout 76 will hold a double experience event all weekend on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The event is now live and ends on Monday, March 23 at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET.
The official Fallout Twitter account announced that in addition to the double XP weekend event in Fallout 76, vault dwellers will also receive a 25% discount on legendary armor and weapons from the Purveyor, a mole miner found in the Berkeley Springs station following the game’s Wild Appalachia update.

Despite some setbacks, Fallout 76’s free Wastelanders expansion, which finally adds NPCs to the online multiplayer action-RPG, is scheduled to go live on all platforms on April 7. Before this update comes out, Bethesda released a patch to help stabilize the game, fix a number of performance issues, address art and graphics problems, and more.
In other Fallout 76 news, the game will make its way to Steam the same day the big Wastelanders expansion drops. It’s worth noting that Atoms and Fallout 1st memberships will not transfer to Steam.
Fallout 76 received a lukewarm reception when it came out in November 2018, with many critics finding it barren and derivative without NPCs populating the world. We awarded it a 4/10 in our Fallout 76 review, saying it was “a poor experience” at launch. The disinterest in PvP came as a shock to Bethesda vice president Pete Hines, who was surprised to discover “how many more [people] were interested in PvE together.”
