Researchers from the Hybrid Robotics Lab at the University of California, Berkeley are teaching a robot how to be a goalie. The Mini Cheetah robot developed at MIT Biomimetic Robotics Lab was taught how to goal keep through simulation and actually managed to pull off a pretty strong blocking average. The robot was able to block 87.5 percent of the shots taken, which is just slightly above that of the best professional goalies in the English Premiere League.
