After teasing an upcoming collaboration in his debut match for AEW earlier this year, chef-turned-rapper-turned-wrestler Action Bronson has now unveiled his New Balance 990v6 Baklava sneakers in more detail via Instagram.
The 990v6s have not long been released themselves, but we’re already seeing a whole host of upcoming collaborations rumoured. However, the Action Bronson sneakers are the only confirmed drop we can see on the horizon thus far.

Despite it being early days for the model, New Balance and Action Bronson certainly haven’t held back with their design, opting to use almost every material and colour under the sun to create a pair of shoes that are bound to stand on feet, making them late contenders for one of the best sneaker collabs we’ve seen this year.
This being said, here’s everything we know about the Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 collaboration so far…
Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 Baklava release date speculation
Not a huge amount has been revealed on when this 990v6 collaboration will be released; however, Action Bronson has confirmed that the shoes will arrive at some point in 2023.
As to when in 2023, well, looking back on when one of the last 990v5 sneakers was released, this “Grey White” colourway, it’s worth noting they debuted in late January 2022.
Using this information, we predict that the Action Bronson 990v6s could debut early in 2023, possibly in January given Action Bronson has already confirmed their arrival.
That being said, the first “Grey” 990v6 colourway dropped in November 2022. This could also give a hint as to when we may see the Action Bronson collaboration drop in 2023, although we feel it’s unlikely we’ll have to wait that long for these confirmed sneakers to arrive.

Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 Baklava design
As mentioned, the Action Bronson 990v6s feature an array of different materials and colours, making them some of the brightest, boldest New Balance sneakers we’ve ever seen.

To begin with, the base of the uppers appears to feature mesh dressed in bright green, while the rest of the shoes look as though they combine brown leather and suede mixed with grey New Balance branding.
Towards the heels, you’ll find sections of purple and bright orange featuring the New Balance logo again, while underfoot you’ll notice a two-toned blue ENCAP-cushioned midsole unit complete with black and blue outsoles.

On the tongues, Bronson’s Baklava branding can be found alongside the 990v6 logo. Then, over the top, you’ll find bright pink and purple rope laces.

So, we think it’s fair to say Action Bronson and New Balance went all out with their design. They’re certainly unique, but how much will it cost to own such a unique set of trainers?

Like the release date, we don’t yet have a confirmed price tag for the Action Bronson 990v6s. We do, however, have a few clues to work with to help us make a prediction.
For instance, the first and only “Grey” 990v6s currently retail for $199.99 on the New Balance website. Therefore, our best guess would be that the Action Bronson 990v6s could cost the same as this to continue the current 990v6 trend.
As the shoes are a fairly high-profile collaboration, there’s a chance they could retail for slightly more than this as demand for the sneakers will likely be quite high.

One of the first places you’ll likely find the Action Bronson 990v6s listed could be at the New Balance store, possibly under the Lifestyle shoe subsection.
There’s also a chance the shoes could drop at Action Bronson’s Baklava Flea Market store once they’re released in 2023.
